Kivrin loves books! Thursday mornings the library offers Baby Bookworms storytime with Elaine.

 Of course, we read to her at home as well. She likes to look at the pictures, touch the pages, and hear mommy or daddy’s voice reading the story.

So now our baby’s really official… at least in the eyes of the government: her Social Security card came in the mail today.

Being assigned her very own number it would seem she’s well on her way to becoming a mindless taxpaying worker drone happy, productive citizen!

Okay, so we went back to get weighed today and 45 pounds at six months might not be in the cards… but Slurpy McGulp did gain another 7.1 oz in just five days and is still way ahead of the curve for weight gain. Hooray for eating.

We’re so proud of her Buddha belly!

That’s right, over the course of just 48 hours Kivrin gained nearly 6 ounces! This was a welcome surprise at her weigh-in, but does mean (assuming she continues to gain weight at the same rate, which by my calculations is approximately 100% likely) she’ll weigh something like 45 pounds at 6 months…
